If you're heading out on the road or backpacking, this is one of the few books that will serve you well. There are few things cheaper and more entertaining than pulling out a deck or two of cards and playing a game with some friends.

If you stop by a book store, or a used book store, you should be able to find a copy of this book. It's one of the few that I consider essential to a home. I don't normally play whole lot of cards, but it's a great option.

Are there any books you think are good for travelers?

A book on how to draw could come in handy too, if you're looking for something to do on your own. Assuming you can't draw very well, or want to improve your skills.

The best books for travelers are travel books! Not guide books, accounts of individuals' travels. I just read "Neither Here Nor There" by Bill Bryson at the moment, as per a recommendation by Lonely Planet's "Europe on a Shoestring". Bryson's book is a bit shallow, but a fun read anyway -- though there's way better travel books out there, I'm sure.

You should snag Hitching Rides With Buddha, it's a fun travel book about a Canadian traveling throughout Japan.
