This was the 3rd movie I'd seen at the very beginning of 2009, and I feel most confident when I say that I'm positive it's going to be my favorite movie of this year.

Great drama, great comedy, perfect storyline and even the love story inside of it wasn't mushy to the point of making it not worthy.

Anyone else seen it? I love it when movies like that come out of nowhere and shake up all the award festivities. And to think some critics believed it would go straight to DVD...

Excellent flick!

I've never seen The Beach, a friend of mine was telling me to check that out, after asking which rock I'd been living under for so long.

It wasn't so wonderful as people are acting... I think it's probably just that most movies released lately have sucked. The love story is too sappy at times, too cliche.

"Come away with me!"
"And what will we live on??!"
"Love!!!"
Seriously?

Things that just went a little too far like that came dangerously close to spoiling my experience with this otherwise good film, and there's not really any reason for all that.
As the movie was winding down to a close, I was thinking, "That was pretty good after all, just a little too over-the-top bollywood-y at times..." and then that stupid credit sequence started. It's such a waste to take a well done, and potentially great film, and do that sort of shit with it.

Srsly! <3

I like the fact that he never fucked her in the movie. I was going to be very disappointed if there was a huge ripping-off-of-clothes scene towards the very end.

The storyline was helped along by that bit of poetic-cliché-ness, if you ask me.

Agreed: Recent movies have sucked. Except for Boy in the Striped Pajamas, that was kinda good.

The hype of this movie is one more example of quota-hire affirmative action policies that have been ingrained in to the western mind. That movie was a piece of shit but because it was directed by third-world savages with quota-donated cameras by Jews and promoted by Jews and depicted as wonderful by the Jew media, the ignorant and defenseless westerner falls for it and convinces themselves that this garbage is in any way entertaining or thought provoking.

What I dislike about this film is that it portrays non-whites as wholesome and attractive; and capable of passion or love or anything but savagery and panhandling. The entire premise of this movie is that brown people are capable of love and that their frequent disregard for the law, such as trainhopping is acceptable and that the white man should bow down to them as superiors. As was mentioned, the acting was shitty; so why pretend that the movie was enjoyable? The only answer to that question is that you are a senseless goyim.

hahahahah, girls love that shit though, the movie is directed in such a way that it's almost depicted as a fable/fairy tale. it needs cheese factor to work!
