View Full Version : So I know what I'm doing after school now

Today I went to this presentation by someone working for AFIT (Air Force Institute of Technology) with a graduate school fellowship program. What it boils down to is: I remain a civilian (I don't have to join the AF or anything), I go to school for 21 months and then do a 3 month internship at their institute. There they will teach me how to hack and how to avoid being hacked. Tuition is free, room and board is free, books are free, I get 25k per year of spending money, and I get a masters in computer science or computer security. After graduating I must work for the Federal, State, or Local government for 24 months (with an average pay of 50-80k) in the agency of my choice (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc). Not only that, but I'll get a Top Secret security clearance (not that I really know what that means). Pretty cool, eh?

That's quite impressive. Seriously.

Be careful of those federal background checks, though. They're crazy thorough, and who knows how finicky. and it sounds like these ones know how to use the internet :P

We all thought Jeff Hunter on totse worked for the government. Now we KNOW that Zok will be working for the CIA, ect.

Its going to be mega lulz when they're interviewing you and they say "So, whats the deal with this 'zoklet' website you seem to be running...?"
