So my roommate got a new kitten cause you know he has time to take care of it and train it. /s :mad:

Its a shit cat, apparently its mother was wild and abandoned it after some neighbor hood kids played with it too much. Well it lacks the ability to recognize humans. It never will look you in the eyes and doesn't respond to anything but grabbing it by the nap of its neck. Its about 3 months old and a female, and its annoying the shit out of me. I have a male neutered cat thats about two years old and has lived in my house the whole time, hes a really good cat and I never had a problem with him. Ever since day one its been the chillest cat ever I could just pick it up and hold him / carry him any where and hes completely content with it. This new kitten can't be held for more than three seconds with out freaking out and making horrible noises. So last night I noticed after this cat had been fucking up our kitchen scratching the chair legs and ripping up the chair cushions that the kitchen now reaks of piss. I cleaned the litter box out real good and it hasnt gone away I can also smell it in my bathroom. Now this pisses me off to the point where Im going to plug up the cat so it cant piss. Can anyone tell me here is this new cat marking its territory all over my house and making it stink like some kinda frat house with broken plumbing?

The kitten is actually a female, and my roommate has such a hard time budgeting money I'm sure this spaying is going to have to be a home job.

This. Do not blame the cat, he is doing exactly what is natural to him and his body and mind are telling him to do it.. and you expect him not to?

He won't piss anywhere or be nearly as crazy if you neuter him, it may take a week or so after the operation for him to change, but trust me, it happens. Happened to my cat and it made him awesome.

Well if you don't have the money to get it spayed, then get rid of it. It would be better for the cat.

Maybe this should be in pissing each other off, seeing as its my roommates cat there's no way hes just going to get rid of it. And oh I believe you when you say its better for the cat, no doubt your right. So what Ive gathered from this thread is getting is spayed will make it at least stop pissing on my house. I cant even pinpoint the source of where it has sprayed it just stinks so bad in the whole kitchen, I know their urine is high in ammonia but If I open all the windows and run a fan I should be able to bleach the floor with out making mustard gas yea?

umm, well. after you have gotten her neutered she can go outside and the smell won't be so bad. just buy an excessive amount of air fresheners. she has to be 6 months to get neutered though.

get her a scratching pole to reduce her from scratching anything else. don't let it get you so angry, it's only a little kitty.

oh and many cats dislike being picked up, it's just life.
