Unauthorized access into a webcam to spy on someone

I have the IP of some jack-hole who (I think) stole my ipod.

He has a webcam, and his computer is always on. I have his IP address. All I need is a way into his webcam.

The thing is, I can't just openly confront him about it. Why? Because I bought it stolen from someone else, and that would raise too many questions.

So, how is this possible? Thanks, and a (paypal) tip to anyone who can help.

You would first have to place a program on his comp. Something like Remote Access Trojan RAT. Google it and you will probably find that it is free. If you have physical access to his comp then just flash drive install or if you know how just send an email and.......

WHOIS his IP and find out the abuse address (Actual address if you are lucky)

Email the abuse address and say something like tracking stolen goods or a easier way is to say they are infringing on your copyright and you require their address but that way won't always work

Once you have their details, you can either email them a disguised trojan with something like Sub7 attached but that requires NAT rules and shit, Or you can just drive down to their house, crack their security if they have any and do things like ARP cache poisioning to try and force them to download your shit and you can manually adjust the NAT rules from there.

But its stupid as once you find their address you should probably break in and retrieve the ipod / take a dump on his bed / lay roadkill out in his house

Why would you want to get into his webcam? Just break in and steal a bunch of shit, along with your iPod. I don't get how trojaning his computer is going to do anything either. The most you could do is steal his credit cards and card another iPod, but why go through all that trouble when you can just break into his house?

Seriously... this is really outdated. There was a huge exploit for this a while ago. I can't remember the exacts, but basically, what it was, was you masked the changing of your java options on the webcam via a game. It was a "how fast can you click these randomly placed buttons" to allow remote access to view the webcam. I agree with V0x. Just break in and 'steal' your shit back.

IF he's stupid enough to break in while they're home (and who doesn't make that mistake? :rolleyes:), then he deserves to be shot. Life isn't for everyone, especially not idiots.
