Growing mushrooms

How hard would this be for someone who's never done such a thing before, and approximately how long would it take (I know it probably depends on the method, so break that down for me)

If your state outlaws shrooms, than why dont you ask someone you know IRL or online in another state to have the spores shipped to their house than have them ship it to their house. I did it from my buddy in Ga a few times now.

As for growing I know a bit of info on that. I did a PF tek a while back and its pretty easy. Its the basic standard first time tek. Its brown rice flower ( or just grind brown rice in a coffee grinder if you cant find the flower, I coultnt find the flower) and vermiculite in jars that you inject with the spores and Pressure cooking the jars.

The tek im most interested is an Invitro Poo Tek. Its basicly taking grain spawn jars (pop corn or wild bird seed filled jars that are pressure cooked and injected with spores and let incubate till they are full. Than filling a big bag with pasturized 50/50 mix (50% horse poo and 50% straw that pasturized. I bought it online for like $40 for 40 lbs). Im using 1 jar of spawn for every 1 lbs of mix. You mix it together than add it to autoclave bags (they have a filter section that lets your mix breathe and keeps out mold and bacteria. Than letting it incubate again in a warm dark place. Once its all white showing the bags to light and let the shrooms pop out like a magic pie.

I like the idea of using poo for teks now because it makes it so you dont have to be 100% strile and less chance for contamination. The poo balances everything out like in nature (the mushrooms grow in the wild with mold and bacteria all over the place. Its a real simple and high yeild bulk tek. You might want to think about doing.

But if you want to grow shrooms than look at www.shroomery.org they have tons of good files on their site, but their forums have a lot better stuff. Thats were I got the invitro poo tek. The forums actually give you better ideas because you can see where other people have problems and learn from their mistakes or other members idea to improve the teks and make them easier and high yeild.
