To me Tito is just an old douche, I'd far rather see Liddell given another chance (he's never gonna be contender for the title again, but he can still scrap) than the "Huntington Beach Badboy" brought back.
I mean realistically he's going to get his fuck knocked in. He's just had back surgery and claims he's up to full condition.
Bullshit.

It'll be interesting to see if he can still be relevant in the division. I don't see it myself, at his age, being out for so long and the surgery. MMA is getting bigger everyday (mostly thanks to the UFC monopoly) and he's a big draw, so the sport needs him right now.
Now what would be nice if Griffin can shut Anderson and his nuthuggers up next week.

They're my two favourite fighters. I'm hoping that Anderson will feel the strain of being 205 again (and I am aware he's past light heavyweight champ) but who knows.

Personally, I think Anderson has always been an oversized MW. He should be in the LHW division, but we all know he'd not dominate there. Bad for business.
Fucking Silva. Dick.

In interviews he's saying that he wouldn't fight Machida as they're friends and he's letting Lyoto keep the belt.
I really want to see him kick Wanderlei's ass though.

What fighter won't fight a friend? What a load of nonsense. Why is he even fighting at LHW if he doesn't want to fight the best one eventually (being machida)?

Zero, A.Silva was never the LHW champion...ever. He's had one fight at 205, against a nobody.
Also, Anderson's retiring soon. I think he's got 4 fights left on his contract. One of them is against Danny Henderson, who I hope will end the Silva hype. Hendo, unlike Silva, has proven he can compete with the best of the best, holding victories over much better fighters than Silva(Nog, Sobral).

He's been ducking the LHW division for ages now.
What fighter won't fight a friend?
Tito Ortiz tried to pull that card with Liddell as well.

Tito is just a big bad queer, as it was said before, Liddell was basically Tito's bodyguard when they were fighting in LW as Liddell would fight all the big guys and Tito would take the small guys, fuck I rather see Liddell back

Tito Ortiz is garbage. Also, someone direct me to a fight where anderson silva gets the shit beat out of him. I always see his sinewy ass winning fights, he's excellent, but the 10 minute swahilli speeches after the fight make me want to claw my eyes out.
I think the last time I saw ortiz fight was against some shaky amateur, and it was a boring ass fight.

The problem is he's fighting in the wrong weightclass. He should really be a LHW, but he'd get his ass whooped every so often, so he sticks to MW where he dominates because it's a weaker division.
I hope Griffin beats his ass into a mess.

I think I was getting confused with Wanderlei.
However, I still think Silva will prove his worth. Thales was a contender and whilst Silva was a complete dick and failed to entertain, he still won unanimously. He knew he could beat the guy without problem.
I am gonna go with Griffin TKO in the third round. I think Silva is going to slip into cockyness second round and by the third he's gonna have suffered too many body shots to do much.

I don't care that much, the only bit I care about would be Tito get KO'd.
And I just can't see Forrest winning this fight against Silva. I like Forrest, but just don't think he has a hope of winning this one unless like the last Silva fight it just keeps going and going and Forrest eventually just wears him out.

Anderson has a pretty good ground game, but Forrest is heavy. I'd like to see body shots and a lot of lying on Anderson, wear him out. Go for the decision.

Tito hasn't been knocked the fuck out in his last two fights. Liddell is probably never going to be competitive again, his style has been figured out, and he's too slow and old to change it up. And so far Tito has done the best against Machida, so don't count him out. He probably won't be getting a title shot soon though.

I'd just like to point out that Anderson Silva used to be a welterweight, so the idea that he has always been an over sized middleweight is retarded. Many fighters start their careers in a different weight class than what their body ends up developing into. Also, Anderson said he walks around at about 220 pounds, so he won't be as big as some light heavies, like Griffin, but his skill will more than make up for the size difference.

Uh Oh Spaghettios.
People talk about Lesnar cutting a good 25 lbs or so to make weight, most of which is back on by the fight. Saying it gives him an unfair advantage. While I would argue that's not exactly true, I would agree that when skillsets are mostly equal, size and strength will be a determining factor or one that at least can make up for a lack of skills to a certain extent.
Anderson is cutting huge amounts of weight to fight in that Middleweight division just like Brock does. It does give him a gross advantage because his luminaries in that division don't cut no way near as much as him.
He simply belongs at LHW, where he'd get handed many losses with his wins because it's probably the most talented division right now. He's always ducked it. He'll fight Griffin, but he doesn't want to go for the LHW belt because his friend has it? Nonsense.

Walking around weight is different than the weight he cuts from. After training camp, Silva probably weighs closer to 200 pounds and cuts from there. And his walk around weight hasn't always been 220. He's grown, remember?
And I agree that Silva wouldn't dominate LHW like he has MW, but I don't know if he's ducking it. I think he beats most of the LHWs, except maybe Machida and Shogun.

...and Jackson, and probably not Tito either come to think of it if he's on form.
It's a stacked division and feeding him to the lower tier fighters isn't really providing him this challenge he's seeking.

Anderson's an animal, granted he won't do as well at LHW but he's still top of the division.
Tito = IDFC, just retire.
BJ is going to murder kenflo too.

Who exactly is he going to fight in the UFC who is top calibre?
Big Nog:
He's beaten him twice already. With Nog's current performance i see Fedor losing only because he splinters both hands against Nog's face before the ref calls a TKO.
Cro Cop:
Mirko is no way near the level he was at when they foguht before, he'd get roasted. Not to mention Fedor has beaten him.
Frank MIr:
I think Mir would get eaten alive on his feet, granted he's good on the ground I just can't say I see him bettering Fedor though. Not after Frank's last outing on the floor. Mir isn't a top fight for him. I see him getting knocked out if anything.
Kongo:
Bwahahaha. If Cain can do that to him not even worth it.
Couture:
Couture could really give him a run for his money. He's a good fighter on his feet, great wrestling and control with the cage. He is getting old now though. Really old. If it goes to the ground I see him losing, maybe by decision. Fedor beats him anywhere he likes although it'll be exciting.
Carwin:
Carwin: Big man, big Power, ok wrestling. Aside from catching Fedor with a tank ofa right hand, I see Carwin getting worn down. Fedor by grinding cardio and ground game.
Lesnar:
Lesnar could well beat him. He has power, speed and size. I think Fedor could really rock him on the feet but might get smothered from the bottom. It'd be exciting and great.
So, as you can see the UFC isn't really the best place for Fedor in terms of a challenge. There are maybe two great fights for him there (Randy and Brock).

Oh, he's definitely one of the best, if not the best UFC fighter of all time. I have a soft spot for Royce, but I think Couture is a close second with Rutten taking third.
