What are you trying to protect against? Any shooter worth his salt can hit you in the head.

Neverender's Zokmart (https://www.zoklet.net/bbs/showpost.php?p=610199&postcount=2) has one bullet resistant vest up (second to last in post 2). I don't know if it's Kevlar though.

That, but most shooters aren't worth their salt.

If you think you may actually be shot at, get the vest. That shit hurts.

To keep bullets from penetrating his skin. Is there another use for a bullet proof vest?

Dude, find a forum website that's dedicated only to firearms and weapons and shit like this.

You'll have a higher chance of finding something at a place like that.

Gun mags usually have classified ads for stuff like this. Expect to pay around $400, especially if you want trauma plates.

Trauma plates are things that you insert into the Kevlar vest, and they can stop things that the vest couldn't on it's own, like sniper rifle rounds and whatnot.

Usually made out of Titanium or Ceramic, I think.

EDIT: Here's a link of a site that carries trauma plates.

http://www.firstdefense.com/html/Hard_Armor.htm

Check out what sort of firepower they're rated to stop.

Or just duct tape a bunch of phone books on your body. You can get phone books free and tape is only a couple bucks.

Get dragonskin, even better than ordinary bulletproof vests.

I think the lower ones are available to the public...

ive found some on my local craigslist. i can contact them. just give me a small finder's fee.

pm me, my friend was in the army(i think he isnt planning on going back), and has lots of army buddies. i know he has a vest. PM me the offer, and i'll make the phone calls. they are probably army issues. so able to stop 9mm bullets, shot gun shells, granade frags.
