For those who do not know:

1) It is called an "Analog" clock, not a "hands" clock, and
2) The fact that you can't read one means you are stupid.

Now, I don't know the word with which japanese people refer to analogue clocks, but I assume that when they do use, you inform then they are wrong and that it's called an 'analogue clock'?

It's actually called a clock face analog clock, and that's because there are many different kinds of analog clocks, including 24-hour analog clocks, 10-hour analogue clocks, 6-hour analog clocks, sundials (analog), metric analog clocks, non-metric analog clocks, etc, etc, etc.

I didn't put money on my debit card in time to pay for the server fees, and I figured nobody gave a shit so I haven't bothered putting it back up yet. I have a database backup from right before it went down if anyone shows enough interest for me to put it back up.

I started getting spam bots up the ass, and little to no useable posts to make it look like people DID like the site. It's sad considering I was willing to let people discuss anything they wanted.

In fact, it didn't even occur to me that I spelt it different to the OP. This would have been a much more salient way of saying what I was trying.

Technically, analog would be wrong as shortened Americanisms are not formal english. Of course, only genuine cunts or people who haven't really thought about it are bothered by such things; so we shouldn't give a shit about whether it's an analogue, analog or hands clock. Ultimately, language is functional and it's a sort of intellectual imperialism to say 'this is correct way of speaking' against 'this is an incorrect way of speaking'. Just let people fuckin' speak, like.

it honestly takes me a little while to read an analogue clock, I can't just glance at it.

I've always been more comfortable with digital locks - preferably in 24 hour time.
