Since going to Ukraine on business and then on Turkey for holiday straight afterwards me and my dad have had the urge to do a lot of travelling, atleast until I have to do my final tests for the air force. My dad's friend told us of a business opportunity in Saudi Arabia. Now neither me nor my dad agree with Islam or any religion at all, we know it's a very strict islamic country, but my dad still seems keen on going there.
I've heard you can get alcohol there but it's very expensive and you have to drink within your compounded area (we reckon it'll be easier if we stay in a compound). Now from what else I've heard, most of the compounds separate men from women, or atleast unmarried ones, but I'm unsure about this; would I not be able to go with my girlfriend?
I'm thinking of going to either Dammam city or Jeddah, but I've heard Jeddah smells funny, which places are the less serious? I've heard you can still have some good bachelour fun in the country.
If anyone living in Saudi or has visited can answer these questions I'd really appreciate it.
