I was just flipping through my camera manual and noticed under the entry for the portrait preset it says:
"To blur the background more, set the lens to the telephoto position."
And under the landscape setting:
"To accentuate the oppenness of scenery, set the lens to wide angle."
Can anyone explain what it means? My guess was that telephoto position is zoomed in and wide angle is zoomed out completely. I could be completely wrong though. My lens is the standard 18-70mm one that came with my camera if it matters, with just one "focusing ring".
