An interesting documentary about a man who underwent a surgery in which he had to have the connection between his left and right brain split in order to discontinue epileptic problems that he was having.

From the video he appears to be a functional individual, yet it is revealed that the functions and processing of the left and right brain differ in varying degrees.

Oh, wasn't *procedure name* for severing the corpus callosum popular for epileptics back in the day?

The procedure and its consequences are indeed interesting and often referred to in the theory of the bicameral mind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicameralism_(psychology)).

This (http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.htm l) is an interesting related video.
