I don't think they're horrible but I don't think they're amazing. They have some good powerpop songs that are good music if your in the mood for it...they're a lot more musically sound then most of the other bands they're associated with (the drumming is extremely technical), and they're a lot more tongue in cheek...or so I see. I also see a lot more early post-hardcore emo influences that are often absent in modern "pop-emo" bands. Not to mention the whole genre seems a lot more credible with a female at the helm.

I think they're pretty decent. She's got a good voice, and you have to admit they have some catchy songs.

They're a decent pop band. Especially when you're in the mood for it. I mean, really, why hate on them if they sound the same as any other band? It's not like they're trying to be the next Pink Floyd or anything. They're just making a living.

I heart her. God, I'd sit through them live just for the odd chance that I run into her after the show and get a chance to take her out and marry her. I swear, I'd do it in the blink of an eye. I don't care what the divorce would do to our kids.

Personally I feel that out of the typical "pop-emo" fueled by ramen trendy scene bands that they actually have lot tighter sound then most of the others. The drumming is tight as hell, and I personally attribute that overall synergy to the fact the drummer knows his shit. They're one of the bands that I've seen from this new explosion of bands that seems to consistently put on a solid live show.
