on the topic of the actual music (in that particular video), I can certainly appreciate the skill it requires to play that fast, but with the overall lack of musicality regarding backup (the drums and the bass sounded like they were stuck on a 1 second loop), I'd have to say that it mostly amounts to highly skilled noise.

I mean, at least Buckethead builds up to the fast part by having stuff...like a melody, etc.

I agree, while George Bellas is one of the quickest and best power metal guitarist, he certainly can NOT play all the instruments in the band (something he usually insists upon doing). Most of his studio recorded songs are of better compositional quality - not just him playing sweeps really fast.
