Kitchen thief...

So there's this kitchen thief that's been taking my food for months, and I'm just about fed up with this guy already.
So my friend told me that there's this spray that you can use, it's invisible when sprayed on objects, but if someone touches it it will stain the person black or blue for about 1 week, does anybody know what it is called?
Or any ideas I can do to scare the person off would be great.

I really don't want to resolve this by poisoning the person, he/she might be in some finacial trouble, I just want to identify the person and maybe confront him/her.
If I don't find the spray I will put E.coli in my food but I really really don't want to do that.
