Okay in 4 Weeks time I have got a Practical Music Exam, I need to perform a Piece of 'Art Music'. I have no clue of artists or never heard it before. Apparently it's 'Oprah' Music from Russia, China & Shanigans like that. Basically I am doing it in a group of 3 we decided basically we are going to do it on Piano, Guitar, Bass. I've searched YouTube &I'm not enjoying what I am listening too, I think I might Fail this exam. Our music teacher also said it is a 'Random Twist' kind of Genre so I was thinking maybe do a NiN Song or something and changing it up.

hmmmm, these bands have nothing to do with what you describe, but give this a listen: Sigur Ros (Icelandic Post-Rock band), ...And You Know Us By the Trail of Dead (American Art Rock), the Sound of Animals Fighting (American Cluster-fuck of sounds), A Silver Mt. Zion (Canadian Post-Rock), Ratatat (pure awesome)

The fuck is this genre? I consider myself to be pretty up on all kinds of sub-genres, but I've never heard of one as vague as "Art Music." Either you're not explaining it well, or your teacher is a whack-job.

From Wiki:
Art music is an umbrella term which usually refers to music which requires significantly more work by the listener to fully appreciate than is typical of popular music.
Send some death metal their way ;)

LOL. :D
He could use Nocturnus' album "The Key" which is death metal with actually good synths (rarely done).
Or he can do this band called Abruptum http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=7077
That album borderlines music. Its like a guy torturing himself with the most off key drums and guitar you will ever hear. It's almost anti-music.

This is one of the lulziest posts I have seen.

Art music? That definately is not a genre, even if he was referring to Art Rock (which still is hardly a legitimate genre) what that has to do with Russia and China or whatever....

For people that say there 'High-Level' in Music knowledge and still are Dumb Founded by what Art Musique is then that is PhayHill. Ofcourse Art Music isn't a Genre. I am not talking about Rock/Death Metal. I am looking for Orchestric Music Pieces from China, Russia, Iceland..Foreign Countries. It can be Jazz, Electronic Art but this isn't what I am after. I am after some Weird Fukn Shit.

Regardless of whether it's a genre or not, its mere existence (as any form of category) is redundant. To say something that is an art-form (i.e. music) is categorized by being artistic is ridiculous. To classify it against pop-music is fine, but the nomenclature you're using (or your teacher is using) is like trying to frame a picture frame. It's like saying, "Hey guys, I'm going to go watch entertainment TV!" It's assumed that watching TV is a form of entertainment, so you don't have to say it.
You could say it's "abstract music" or "high music" or "post-modern music," but to say it's "art" music... well, that's just silly.

Also, for a serious suggestion as to what I think your teacher might be looking for, try Bela Bartok.

I've heard Frank Zappa described as art rock, but I don't really consider art a genre.

Hahahaha, "Art Music" is a stupid term. That could range anywhere from Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys safety pinning bologna on him to Igor Stravinsky preforming the Rite Of Spring.
All I can say is that a twist on an "alternative rock" song would probably be a good idea, thats what all my friends in music school are doing these days. NiN would probably be a good band to do that with.
