So I just got back from Seeing the new Batman movie.

Heath Ledger is freaking awesome as the joker. No joke.

I agree. I went in thinking "god, everybody's just hyping his performance because he died recently," but I came out being very impressed. I think they could've shortened it and had a bit more solid film as a result, but I enjoyed it for sure.

And what would you have taken out? Shit, there would have been even more if Heath hadn't died. The Joker's story just ended completely. And there's no way they can bring him back, which sucks. Balls.

You never know, its just actors who are the puppets and told what to do and how to do it by the Directors. Actors don't even have brains in the movies they are in the director is the puppet master. Who would have thought Heath Ledger would have been a good Joker? Who even could recognize Heath playing the joker? With all the make-up and character alteration thanks to the director it literally transformed him. The only movie I knew Heath from was from the Patriot, all his other movies didn't impress me.

I say as long as its the current director give the third a chance, the first two didn't disappoint so why not have faith in the director since they did the rare making the sequel better then the first.

Word on the strasse is you won't see ANY of the main baddies you think you are going to see in the next one. I was following the director around religiously for like 5 months online and in magazines after The Dark Knight came out and he specifically mentions how his plans are to introduce some less known baddies in the next one. His goal isn't to repeat old movies from the 80's and 90's. So don't think Dane Cook and Johnny Depp are fighting for the Riddler position, most likely there won't even be a Riddler.

That sucks. What are heroes without good villians? The Dark Knight was so much better than Batman Begins because it had such a great baddie in Ledger's Joker, much better than the crappy old Scarecrow.

It's like Iron Man 2, they are having Justin Hammer, who's just another entrepreneur, and Whiplash, who looks really terrible. Instead of which they could have the Mandarin who is a fucking awesome bad guy, and would be really impressive if done well, but nooo.
