I recently installed Max Payne 2, actually. Wicked games!
I hope they made a Max Payne 3; if any game needed a sequel, that was it. I wonder if the film generated an interest from Rockstar? Did anyone see the film? I heard it wasn't very good...

I downloaded and watched just a few days ago. It was a decent film, imo. It wasn't terrible by any means but not spectacular either. Just...okay, I guess.
I did like a lot of the imagery towards the end though.
I never played much of the game, so I watched the entire movie without rly knowing anything about Max Payne. I dunno how fans of the game might have felt about it.

I just recently installed CoD4, Gear of War, and Crysis. Got bored of all 3 really quickly, and I am getting ready to install Fallout 3 (played it on PS3 already, but the Frames per Second we're horrible. Hopefully this will be better).

The Max Payne movie was terrible. They had no concept of pacing. There was 15 minutes of talking and then a sudden burst of 30 seconds of action, followed by another 15 minutes of talking. There was zero noir feel, no cheesy exposition, warped story... The only thing relating the movie and the game are that some of the characters have the same name.
Max Payne 2 (the game) had better gameplay than the first, but they really messed up the story. And they made Payne look like an old fart.

The last computer game I bought and installed was Sam & Max. Got the original in the mail a couple of weeks ago.
Great game.
It is strange, when I want to play on the computer or Wii, it is always the old games that attract me.
Both Vice City and GTA IV. Both are good, and despite the mess ups in the new GTA IV patch, it still runs well on my PC. Well, almost. The new patch actually glitches in such a way were you CANNOT get a wanted level by killing cops anymore.
Seriously.
I just tried this. Shot a cop, nothing. Called 911, killed the two cops, nothing. Called again, killed 'em, nothing. This shit is bananas.

Even the unrated dvd version wasnt very good
This movie simply shouldnt have been pg-13
It should have been r rated and the violence should have been over the top
i didnt mind it but would have rathered they actually kept it to the original story. michelle getting killed by the junkies and such
what a fucking waste

Exactly. There was nothing wrong with the story. There was no need for "adaptation".
I can't believe they fucked up this movie, I mean everything was already done for them. The story was interesting and compelling, the dialogue and narrative was already written, plenty of good setting and panorama shots from the 'comic book' pages could have been reproduced...all they needed to do was make some big budget action scenes sprinkled with bullet time.
Bah. Fuck Hollywood.

I've got a Crysis CD Key which I plan on using to install... Crysis Duh!
Also I may possibly be getting Saints Row 2 for PC. Woop-De-Fuckin'-Doo.
Also I installed Half Life 2 - Lost Coast and Peggle lats night. Fun...

I reinstalled Max Payne 2 a few months back and was shocked at how poorly it as held up in comparison to how I remembered it.
The latest games I installed:
Defense Grid: Really awesome tower defense game. The best one I've ever played.
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Got it for free. Fun at times, but very rough around the edges.
Team Fortress 2: In preparation for the Scout pack that's supposedly coming. Really hoping my favorite class will finally have some use on Payload maps.

The first Max Payne doesn't hold up very well either. I played through it recently, but found myself playing it to finish it instead of playing it to enjoy it.
