Clearly, we need to start an internet campaign, whereby we find out his home/work address, and get people to send him pants. Charity store, less than a dollar preferably, old pants you have with rips in, whatever.. I think it would be hilarious to just drown the dude in pants.

Seriously, how on earth could anyone think that misplacing ONE PAIR OF PANTS is worth anything beyond say, double the original cost of the suit? The family offered 12k, he should have taken it, because that's far above and beyond any possible level of emotional distress or discomfort..
