We need to put a stop to the "pulls more bitches," "this car drops panties," etc arguments. They are fundamentally flawed. You need to realize that these "bitches" are dumb. They do understand what makes a good car. The only reason they like [what they think are] nice cars, is because they are expensive. Thats it. Their reasoning continues that if man X can afford expensive car he can buy me shit. They are not concerned with performance attributes, reliability, durability, repairability, etc,...I suppose to the ugly ignorant mass, the ability to impress ditzy whores may be an important attribute to a vehicle. But remember, having that ability has no bearing on any other quality of the car.

In closing ill say this: You could "pull mad bitches" with an H2

I agree with you OP, but different cultures have different set of view points on this issue. In Pakistan mostly if you have a car your chances of getting laid increase quite dramatically. The more stylish and unique it looks the more pussy you can get.

All in all, you can *pull mad bitches in a Suzuki Mehran or Fx.

I thimk the type of cars that impress chicks depends on the region you live in. I live in southern NH which is basically a bunch of hick towns (I live in one of the larger ones) that surround a city of 120000 (the city is full of dumb bitches).

In the towns, trucks are generally better at picking up chicks, as well as any American muscle cars (camaro, mustang etc.). There are still douchebags ("hey look at my FWD burnout with my stereo turned up to 11!"), but they never get any.

In the city, you could be the world's biggest ricer and pick up chicks. I don't know why, it just happens.

1.6 k with landrover head gasket and thermostat conversion. Changed them when gasket blew racing ford puma (still beat it hands down). K series @ 6800 rpm makes skirts hitch up and knickers drop dowm. Shame about the shitty r65 gearbox, want to stick a pg1 in it.

The 1.6 should be a PG1. Only the 1.4 K-Series used the R65 as far as I'm aware, as is typical with Rover it was designed to barely handle the 95lb-ft of torque you get from the 1.4, and all the larger engines used the PG1. Not that terribly great of a gearbox anyway, they always fail in the 620Ti.
Only thing I do like about it is the fact the gears are stupidly long and fairly tight too. I can get 70mph in 2nd at 7000rpm, change gear and it drops to 4500rpm, still well within the engines power band.

What kind of thermostat conversion? I read on t'internet that moving it to what many regard as the 'ideal' position opens it at the wrong time and floods the cylinder 1 and 2 side of the engine with cold water, and ignores the 3 and 4 side, creating thermal variances and warping the engine block, as apparently aluminium is more susceptible than steel to that.

Only the 1.8 and v6 k's, 2 T/ T turbo and 2 L series diesel have the pg1. The 1.4 / 1.6 Had the r65 up until 2003 iirc, was then replaced by a ford derived 'box. With the remote thermo, the therm joins coolant rail & head outlet, sits right on top of rad bottom hose. Keeps all coolant fairly constant temp, preventing thermal shock. Check out rimmer bros.

Aahh, that sounds good actually. A lot of the ones I've seen regard the ideal position as right next to where you fill up the cooling system, the big neck thing under the expansion tank. Bottom of the radiator sounds sensible.

I could still swear a 1.6 is a PG1, cause when I got a new clutch on my 214, they put on the receipt "supply and fit 1.6 litre clutch" and I found they had nigger rigged a PG1 clutch onto my R65, and hence fucked it up. Unfortunately the Rover RAVE CD simply tells you how to adjust and repair the different gearboxes, not what they are attached to.
