here's a question: Why do all the major peninsulas of the world point south?

Personally, I just thought that this discussion was both intriguing and petty enough to warrant a whole thread to itself.

There's a perfectly rational explanation for this, actually.

All major peninsulas point to the south for the same reason as why cranky husbands beat their wives, why bananas curl and why every single carton of juice ever opened was left with just too little contents left at the bottom to be worth pouring into a glass.
