Now, when I play games I usually don't give two shits about the story. As long as I get BFG's and Big ass enemies to own I am content. But Indigo Prophecy is the first game I played and actually care about the characters. I felt like I was really part of the game.. The plot twists made me shit bricks.. It was an awesome game..
Now for those who haven't played. It appears to start off as an ordinary "whodunit" game.. The game starts off as your character murders some guy in a restaurant bathroom, then you must clean up the mess and hide the body. Then you switch to playing as the cops trying to catch him.. You change characters frequently, but the main character being the murderer.. But after a few twists and turns in the story you come to find that you were under the control of some asshole alien person bitch.. You then discover you posses "chroma" which is basically the force. At one point you even fight a fuck load of cops and whoop their asses...and then run away...blah blah.. You end up whooping the fuck out of the alien person w/e the fuck he is who controlled you, and then the story goes ape shit...
