I don't see this doing any harm to the kid. What will do harm, though, is the other children who were raised in a gender binary society and taught to fear and ridicule anything out of their norm.

The only way I'd ever consider this to acceptable is if this child had some weird condition where it had some kind of female gene enabled... such as breast-production, long-hair, feminine-form (hour-glass, instead of a muscular V shape from shoulders to hips.) yes i would never pay thousands and thousands of dollars to have myself mutilated beyond belief and turned into a circus freak in some sick search for acceptance that you can only find inside yourself.

Well, aside from the fact that you're probably ignorant about women's lives- I would agree with you.
If I woke up one day and was a dude, I would try to find an identity for myself as a dude rather than have a surgery to make me into a- likely unattractive- girl. (I know I know, if they have the surgery younger their bodies are less masculine, but the faces of even the most successful transitions don't look feminine to me at all.) Being an unfeminine looking female would be a hard life.
I think it would be a lot easier to find peace being male than being a post-op transexual. I can't personally understand why someone would make that choice.

At the place that I formerly worked, there was a guy who had had a sex change. (S)he still looked like a man, with big shoulders, and a man-shaped body, except with tits. (S)he walked like a man, and was a very unattractive woman. I never heard him/(her) talk, so I don't know about that. I only saw him/(her) walk by. The women did not want him/(her) using their bathroom, and (s)he didn't want to use the men's. (S)he did not have (m)any friends at the factory. (S)he was probably not a happy person. I felt sorry for him/(her).

From now on, the child will be known as "the tranny kid". Even if he decides later in life to begin living as a male, he will never hear the end of it. Because his parents have condoned this ridiculous decision, his life, his reputation, and his sociological well-being have been irreparably damaged.
