Ok I will probably get shot for saying/asking this, but:
Why is COD 4 so great? I played it single player and online. Here is what I gathered:
1. Lame story line, no big deal. Never was a strong part of COD series
2. Same exact cinematic like all other COD series, as in "watch this thing blow up, and these guys get shot, and an awesome fly over intro where you watch stuff happen".
3. Very good graphics at a very good FPS rate, but I never care about graphics since I'm a gameplay guy. still nice though
4. Bullets through walls, awesome

Online:
1. waaaay to easy to rack up kills. I ended games with like 50-2, 54-12, and I kept getting kicked/banned from servers for "cheating". lol wtf?
2. Perks were the worst idea evar. Unbalanced gameplay here we come.
3. Stupid things like air attacks slow up game play and ruin your score. I would never get in a chopper after I got enough kills, because all that would happen is eventually you get shot down, and your ratio would not be as sweet
4. Sniper class is completely useless, which is cool because I hate sniper classes.

Anyone else agree COD4 is not the greatest thing since sliced bread? That game was on my PC for 5 days before it was uninstalled and given away.

No no no, I must have worded it wrong. After you get 20 kills without dying, you can fly this chopper and shoot around and shit. The people on the map with stingers shoot you down eventually. This may have been some sorta mod server, but I know it exists.

I was under the impression that you called in a chopper and it kills for you automatically, you don't actually pilot the things. So it must have been a modded server.

That said, I agree with you on the singleplayer side of things at least. I didn't play the multiplayer so I can't comment on that, but the singleplayer was god awful, just another CoD game without a shred of innovation. I had fun playing the first one, but it's a tired format at this point.

Yes, it's modded. Or you're a troll. I've yet to decide.

Check out my other posts, I don't troll. If I was going to troll, there are better forums to troll in than a video a game one. Anyways, the point is, that part of the game is stupid.

It's overrated yes, but it's very well done and well supported. It's not new, but it does the same old same old well.
