My boyfriend moved to Canada with his parents a couple months ago and I'm still in the U.S. I want to visit him for our anniversary in a couple months. I'll have around $500-$600. I'm underage, so to my knowledge, I can't cross alone. I would need both parents written permission and numbers to call and an 18+ year old guardian with me. Pain in the ass and not going to happen. I was thinking I could just take buses there and walk across the border. He's in Ontario. Is this at all possible? Anyone with any experience doing this? Meh, if this is a stupid question, sorry.

I believe that Green Lantern actually tried to hitchhike into Canada a couple of times and got turned away. He tried to go through border checkpoints though, so your results may vary.

I'm not sure how easy it is cross into Canada without going through checkpoints. I know they patrol the border, but I don't think they're as anal about it as we are about patrolling our Mexican border.

Some of the Canadians here might know more about this.

Haha. WELL, if I brought my birth certificate I might get scolded but they'd have to let me back in, yeah?

Walking might be possible in the right area but be prepared for walking miles though thick woods...

If your lucky you could go with a few 18 year olds and that should work. I dont see the border patrol asking for a permission slip lol

I lack a passport and they stopped accepting birth certificates and other such papers awhile ago. Perhaps I could get one in time but that may look suspicious to my mother..

If your boyfriends over 18 why not just have him come to you , why are you doing the dirty work. Your clearly not in a position to travel through countries

He'll be 18 soonish and he already did visit me a few months ago the difference is his mom came with him, gave him condoms, bought him alcohol and dropped him off at my house while my parents were gone. My mother is an overprotective bitch who doesn't want me to leave the house or date until I am 20.

It's not the end of the world if I can't visit him but if it's possible I'd really like to see him again. If not, I'll just wait for him to move back here.:)

I walk across the boder laden with cheap booze and cigarettes all the time, the western Canadian border is more of a suggestion than a hard line.

Security does go up around the eastern provinces though. FYI: natives are like government sanctioned gangbangers.

You could probably do it pretty easy. Just don't try to cross around the main population strips (pretty much all the Québec - Windsor corridor, the Lower Mainland), as their is a big issue involving drug smuggling. That mainly applies to the Lower Mainland, though (that's in BC, in case you didn't know).

Ontario, eh? What city? I'm guessing it's probably in the densely populated area, which makes things a bit hard for you, as the borders around that area are definitely watched. Perhaps you could cross from upstate NY or Vermont into some suburban areas and take the rail or a bus to your destination. Or... say fuck it and just give it a try anywhere? People do it everyday and aren't caught that often. I guess it's just a matter of risk.

Give some more information on where in Ontario you want to go, it is a pretty big place. Overall, though, I'd have to recommend not going through with this. It's probably not worth it and it's starting to get cold -- you don't want to get lost somewhere in the Canadian wilderness in the fall or winter.

I biked across near toronto one day and completely missed the checkpoint. In fact, I don't even believe there was a checkpoint for foot traffic, the foot path lead me in the complete opposite direction of any sort of government building. Coming back, the American check point was just an office that I could have just walked by.

I've taken a boat to canada before without going through border patrol, and some kids in washington used to smuggle pot from bc through the woods

Get him to come to his side of the fence, you go to yours, and bone through the chainlink.
Technically his cock will be an illegal immigrant but I reckon they'll let it slide (cwotidid?).

Yes it's possible, ass.

Do you think they have cops and fences along the entire border?

I drove my dad's F150 across some Montana ranch, on to a Canadian ranch and then a Canadian country road when I was like 16. Funny shit.

It's easy as fuck to get in to Canada, we don't care. Getting back to the States is a pain in the ass. My dad just went to Vermont a few weeks ago and it took him two hours to get into America (not even that bad considering how long I've heard people had to wait) and he was across the Canadian border in five minutes.

If you're not going through a border crossing, it'd be even easier.

Just walk up to the lineup waiting for the border-check into Canada, climb into the back of one of the business trucks and hunker down under or behind something there and you're good to go. Jump off as soon as it stops after crossing the border. Same way getting back in. They never really check the trucks that belong to established businesses.

Sorry to give you the bad news, but this is most likely the case.

Unless you give him some outrageously good sexual favors the next time you see him, you're out of luck.

Best place to cross is right here (http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=44.734479,-75.45908&spn=0.029632,0.055189&t=h&z=14). Jump on the back of a truck far back in the line, and then you cross the St. Lawrence into Canada in about 3 minutes. Another 20 minutes, by following highway 16 North, and you're in the capital of Canada, Ottawa.

Why doesn't your boyfriend just go down and visit you?

This is why I said what I did.
