Why are you motherfuckers surprised?
Kimbo beat the shit of small amateurs he usually outweighed by at least 20 lbs. Take a guy that knows his shit and is the same damn size and all you have is the reasonable conclusion.

For real. His ground work was super ass. I seriously think I could have done better on the ground.....if I had his body that is...

It was honestly the most boring TKO I've ever seen. Most boring fight ever... And I wasn't surprised.

i dont know why kimbo is so overhyped.
i mean, im more inclined to respect the intensely skillfull middleweights who have spent half their life punching one thing or another to get this far, than some genetic god who realised he could "pwn noobs" in the street and got serious about it aged 25.
i dno maybe its just me, but i always thought the middleweights (inclusive) put on a better show.

Worst. Fight. Ever. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0TKJMTuamo)
That pretty much sums it up.
They were going on about how much training rampage was giving Kimbo on the ground, and how Nelson was this sly veteran. They get in the octagon and Kimbo has zero ground game, Nelson gets his side to count out his unanswered slaps to the top of Kimbo's head to end it as a TKO.
Lame.

yeah, this. how did this motherfucker even qualify to get back into a major UFC fight after that shit that happened like a year ago? are people's memories that bad?
Kimbo was only there because he causes hype. Just look at this thread, love him or hate him, you guys can't shut up the fuck up about Kimbo. Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with this, but TUF 10 will get the highest ratings of the series. Dana White could give fuck ALL about MMA, he just wants his cash, and it's coming in by the boatload.
Personally, I was really impressed with Kimbo's attitude and willingness to learn. It's unfortunate that he got matched up against that fat tub of shit Nelson. Outside of Big Country, I think Kimbo could have made some noise against these stiffs.

thats the LAST time he got beat. I havent seen the new one actually but I know it's not that one.
Anyways kimbo is similar to lesnar, even when they fight their own weight they seem so much bigger than the other guy, but when someone with some real skill comes in, especially on the ground, they're both fucked (especially kimbo, as lesnar is actually pretty good on the ground)
I know everyone says this but still: fedor would fucking demolish both of them

Brock Lesnar is an actual fighter, with actual technical skill. Perhaps not the most technically skilled UFC HW, but he IS a good wrestler.
Kimbo is a bum off the street who beat up guys 100 pounds lighter than him and got a bit of youtube fame.
Neither are great strikers though.
Roy Nelson is the former IFL champ. He knows his shit.
Kimbo was overhyped so bad. Dana was mad that his puppet lost.

ive never been impressed by kimbo and i never will be
What was wrong with that? He also beat Frank Mir in a grappling match.
If you can pull a crucifix on anyone, you've got some good ground skills.
You're the one spouting off about how much of a no-talent, street fighting bum Kimbo is. It doesn't matter WHAT promotion Nelson fought for, he was a champ and he does know his shit; compared to Kimbo he's a fucking grandmaster. He won the way he did(exactly the way he said he would, no less) because of his understanding of the rules and experience.
What was wrong with that? He also beat Frank Mir in a grappling match.

He beat a young Mir simply because Frank gassed. No more, no less.
Also, I facepalmed because of:
1- How he came about the title.
2- His title history
He's a second-rate fighter at best. Just because he beat 3rd rate fighter doesn't make him anything special.
I think Azure just tries his hardest to be a bitter, jaded asshole.
Yeah, I'd agree. I mean, IFL isn't the most talented org by any means, but he was still the camp regardless.
Also, he almost beat Arlovoski if it wasn't for that gift stand up he got from the ref.

So he has better conditioning, which is a big part of fighting right? Regardless of your skill, if you have horrible conditioning you will lose. Unless you manage to win in the first minute.
Say Nelson got him in an armbar, that's like saying "He only won because he got him in an armbar, and Mir couldn't defend from them". Okay, well he still lost, correct? He didn't do what he should have done to win.
Azure

Fixed.
Roy's got about an extra 40 pounds on where he was in that fight, and Mir has a few extra years of main-eventing a real organization.
Regardless of your skill, if you have horrible conditioning you will lose. Unless you manage to win in the first minute.
Most certainly. But it certainly isn't a demonstration of technical superiority in BJJ, hence Mir's early domination.

Laying on top of someone for nearly a minute without much movement other than a weak knee hardly constitutes valid ground work - kimura attempt or not.

Oh, conditioning is a huge part of BJJ/wrestling/Judo. I do judo, and believe me, it gets tiring fast, so you gotta have conditioning.
The fact is he beat mir, okay? The excuses can stop now.

Anyway, what kind of Judo do you train it?

Man you all give lesnar too much shit besides the juicing you gotta admit he has great wrestling I mean he took down Mir like five times in the last fight

Doesn't he have to weigh in at 265 or less...?

Herring was within 10lbs and Lesnar worked him. Brock just has a unique combination of freakish size, brute strength and explosiveness.

Yeah, but that's for the weigh-in, not the actual fight itself. Fighters often cut 20 or so pounds to meet the deadline, then pack the weight pack on.

weight != size sometimes
like you even said, his size is freakish
maybe it's just an optical illusion but every time i see lesnar in the ring he looks a lot bigger than the guy he's fighting

Street fighters really don't have shit when it comes to fighting professionally. Yeah anyone can fight no names and be a good fighter but trying to fught guys who are elite classed is just a recipe for hilarity.
