to make things short.

i work at 36 hr shift sunday into late monday
i have a partner who spends that entire time with me(ambulance driver, medic)

now, on Sunday all he ate was 5 tacos, at noon, and 5 tacos at around 10 pm at night
he claims that he has been spending a lot of money. When just last year, he told me he has over 10 thousand us dollars saved from working on this job for about a year!

Monday he does the same, he only eats thing beef bowl with rice, at around 11 am, and doesnt eat for the rest of shift which ends at 9pm monday.

i am sooo pissed off, how can one live this way you ask?
well he still lives we parents, eats off them, and has everything handed to him.
it pisses the me off when he wont shed out 5bucks! for a meal! and yet he has WELL over 10thousand in the bank!

on thanksgiving he bought the cheapest ready to cook ham, in order to feed like 10 people.! and the ham said " feeds 4-6!

I don't think he has the problem -you do! Come on man why are you upset hes got 10 grand and you don't have shit?
I know why its because you are afraid.You are afraid not to spend money on stupid shit,because if you don't you are afraid that people will think YOU are cheap.
Me I don't give a fuck about anyone but myself and my wife,if someone has more money and other shit than me so be it I could care less, because it really does not matter in the long run. Its not like you can take your money with when you die.

He sounds a lot smarter than you. Why do you want to throw away your money? I consider myself broke because for years I was and I'm used to it. So when I get money I don't think "I have money, so I gotta spend it", I save it because I want to have it for if I need it for an emergency or something. If I get fired I'll be happy I have money in my savings.

He's a smart cat, minus the 4chan and living with parents and relying on them, he's saving up for something and not throwing his money away at eating out. Its so much cheaper to eat lunch thats brought from home or that mommy made in that case but still i think you should take a page from his book and save too. Eating out is fucking overrated.

im a well known cheap ass among my peers. dumpster diving, coupon collecting, you name it. Though i reckon its a good idea to save up all that cash. having a spare 10k would be really useful if you lost your job (it may take months to find another one), or a family member died, or someone needed an operation.

and theres another reason too. some things (like a nice lunch) every day will add up over the course of several months. With that money, you can buy yourself something nice like a flashy car, something that would last a long time. Things like watching a movie every two weeks, eating lunch at some preppy cafe or paying to see a ball game only provides temporary pleasure.
