ok so i found this site:

it lets you visualize how the world would look if light were slower, like in this picture:
http://www.anu.edu.au/Physics/Searle/_HWdopple.jpgAt 76% the speed of light straight lines appear distorted, clouds bunch at the horizon, and a red desert is Doppler-shifted into a rainbow of different colours.

so my question is:
if you actually lived in a world like the one described above (where light travels slower) and you traveled down a "straight" road that appeared to be curved, would you actually experience going through the curve, or would the curve be like an optical illusion?
