Mmkay guys, im going to test your anime knowledge here:

I am looking for a new anime to watch.

I want it to be a nice fighting anime, super power, mecha, what ever as long as people are fighting in it and it is interesting.

Now, let me be more specific.

I am very picky about my fights in anime. I started watching Tenjou Tenge hoping it would suit my style, but it did NOT, it failed (im only on episode 15 but I dont know if I will pick it up again or not...). I like my anime fights to have alot of clever strategy involved in them. Examples of what I think would suit this are:

-Evangelion
-Naruto and Shippuuden (to a certain extent... the anime draws it out too much)
-Gungrave (not so much strategic, but sweet as hell)
-Gundam 00
-Basilisk
-Any GITS form of anime

Thats all that comes to mind at the moment. However, animes that do NOT suit my style are:

-DBZ (no... just no... that was cool when i was 12)
-Bleach (ugh... guys i cant do it... but i have to... for my friends!!! *pulls new super power out of his ass that he was for some reason saving for god knows what*)

Thanks for any responses!

All of your requirements remind me of Code Geass. If you havn't seen that one, I certainly recommend you watch.

At the end of every episode you have no choice but to watch the next.

Code Geass. It turns into a trainwreck in R2, but it's still worth it for all the TWEESTS.
Chaos;Head is good too, although it does leave a few plot holes which inspired me to play the VN.
Desert Punk is good like that too, although far less "serious".

Elfen Lied anime was piss poor, that being said, it was one of the first series I watched when I got back into anime, and I enjoyed it then.

One Outs is made of fabulous Toua.

Champloo is made of hiphop and black people.

TTGL was good, if only for the fact that it parodies almost every shounen demographic anime.

And you don't need to like/understand baseball/mahjong to enjoy One Outs/Akagi.

Although ive seen about 90% of those im glad other people think theyre awesome too!!

and holy shit a SECOND season of darker than black?!!?!

on a side note, i love claymore, the anime was great till they decided to give it that crap ending (not that they had a choice with 1 manga per month or whatever..) although the manga is pretty decent too.. but i always forget wtf is going on since its every month!

I totally agree about the Claymore comment, it was so good but it ended on such a low :(

I hate to say it, but Code Geass sounds perfect for you. It does, in fact, have a terrible plot. But if you can even stomach Naruto (i tried, I actually got sick. Given, I had the flu, but still....), then it is perfect for you.

Basically the fights consist of no troops at the begining, and about every 5 episodes adding a new character with a mecha. This mecha is better than everyone else, but its ok because either some pilot got better, or their machine got upgraded. Everything is orchestrated by a single 'mastermind' for great dramatic effect and suspense.

The first season isnt great, but the second is just bad.... soooooo bad. Especially the last 10 or so episodes. Try it anyway, though.

You can cry about it all you want, and it did turn into a trainwreck, but everyone who watched it as it was subbed fucking loved it, even if they say they didn't.

Replace all the drill motifs in TTGL with penises.
Imagine it.

And seriously, I used to think the Elfen Lied anime was good too, until I read the manga, and watched better shows.

Don't even mention Megas XLR.
