Hello,

I asked this once on totse but noone gave me a real suggestion.

I was wondering if spirits could house inside objects? Like in I know of demons possessing people. Is it possible to draw a spirit/demon and force it into an object? I don't need reading material of events but rather a method of doing this.

It is of great help to me. Thank you.

I once knew someone that after being given a couch starting experiencing strange things in his home. He later found out that the previous owner had also experienced strange occurrences after buying that piece of furniture from someone else but later felled to tell my friend before giving it to him.

My friend later sold it to someone else. I believe he said he told them about it before selling it to them though. I think this might fall under the catagory of a spirit attaching itself to a particular object rather than being trapped in it.

I think items can hold objects or have negative energy attached to it.

Supposedly there is this doll I think in Florida that is possessed. Looks creepy to me, don't know if I believe it though.

There's this.

And yeah...

Forcing spirits into objects is an ANCIENT idea...

Ever see the Jackie Chan cartoons?

All those demon things...

They were cool :)

I think items can hold objects or have negative energy attached to it.

I'll have to pretty much go along with that, but with a minor quibble over "negative"--in my experience, energy is energy--it the intent that matters.

When I do long-distance shamanic soul retrieval, I charge a crystal with the lost soul energy and return it to the client, along with instructions on how to re-access the lost energy. (For more info on this topic, see Soul Loss and Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman--one of the greatest shamans of the 20th century, and one who kindly offered me her friendship and support when I really needed it.)

So is this storing the soul in the crystal only for storage purposes or does the crystal gain anything solid? Like healing (in any way) or does it become stronger physically?

In a few magical traditions, when the magician creates a artificial spirit for a purpose a physical object will often act as the body of the spirit. That way the spirit is easy to destroy once it's purpose has been completed.

The book creating magickal entities by David Michael Cunningham should give you a really good place to start. I think there was also a section on this in Liber Null (which you should be able to find online with a little searching).

I am not sure how you would call an existing spirit into an object. I have heard of people having Goetic demons inhabit objects for them, but I don't remember the method and that is definitely not something I would suggest you even attempt.

Just for temporary storage.

Okay, I've done some searching and I stumbled upon some potential literature to read, try out. What can I expect from the object once a spirit or soul is inside it/attached to it? Could it become warm or give of shocks to the touch? I'm quite the newbie on this so I have no idea what to expect. I'm prepared to go all the way though to something big. Maybe try and evoke a dead person or a goetic spirit.

I have to ask, why are you interested in doing this sort of thing?

Also, it could take you years to develop the skills necessary to perform a successful evocation. Of course I am assuming you have no magical background.

To further my own path to enlightment, what else?

You must truely believe that the spirit exists and has been transfered into the object. If you believe it strongly enough it becomes true...to you.

I'm not interested in that kind of control Shulgin. If it doesn't work I stop practicing it. If progress it to slow I won't endure with it.

This concept is called animism, and I think it is very likely to be a true phenomenon.

I think it would suck to be a spirit stuck in a lame ass object
