When I click on a forum and start browsing for interesting threads, the first thing I do is look over the posticons. I find these little pictures extremely informative of what the thread ensues. I don't know about any body else, but I have emotions, and these emotions affect how I browse and interact on this website. If I'm feeling gloomy and don't want to read how awesome someones life is I'm going to avoid the green smiley face. If I don't want to read a retarded rant rambling about random riff-raff then I'll avoid the rant posticon. If I want to read something inspiring then I'll avoid the "no icon" because the poster obviously doesn't care a whole lot about his thread if he doesn't even include a post icon.
But I don't get this luxury when I glance at the hot topics. I just have to kind of judge from their text what kind of thread it will be, and we all know its hard to tell how serious something is when its in text.
I feel having posticons included in the hot topics would allow me to get an immense amount more enjoyment from the site.
Thank you.
