I made a thread when I was a non-admin. Also, I plan to make a vape out of a lightbulb pretty soon.

Vaporizers are amazing. When I was in Amsterdam I was in some Hindu themed coffee shop, and they had a water bong with a vaporizer replacing the bowl...and WOW!
We smoked more than a gram between 4 people and it lasted FOR-FUCKING-EVER.
I didn't think it would work with the vapor and the water filtration, but it worked great!

I have used a vape before, worked quite effectively.
Just make sure you be careful with the light bulbs... I went through a few different brands because when put a flame to the bottom of it, a chemical smelling smoke was produced inside the bulb even though I washed them out:confused:

I suggest you buy a vape from a head shop, they are SOO much better.

Ive used a light bulb vape and ive used my Volcano, and let me tell you that the lightbulb is a motherfucking joke. Get serious and spend $150 on a Purple Days. If i could go back in time i would get the PD instead of the Cano.

dont bother with the traditional flame and glass vaporizers. it takes minutes to 'make' a hit, and itll pretty much take u so long to get high by the time you should be high you arent because it took so fuckin long.
get a electronic vaporizer. otherwise dont even bother.

actually lightbulb vaporizers can work if you make them properly.

just make a stand out of coat hangar like the ghetto one ive constructed and place a tea light candle underneath and take a hit when it starts getting steamy.

Exemplary construction you have there!
The other method I've heard of that seems fool proof is chopping up your nug and putting it on a cast iron skillet with a glass top, then slowly turning up the heat until you see a faint white mist inside. Stick a straw into the venting hole, inhale, and you're good!
Super ghetto way to do it, but there's no chance for noxious lightbulb gases and since you likely already have the pan, it's free.
I myself have used a box/whip vape once and now I'm bent on purchasing one. The hits were incredibly smooth, we used a lot less nug, and it's nice and healthy.

i believe the noxious gases are coming from the thin white film inside some lightbulbs. to get rid of this you fill the lightbulb with salt and shake it around until all the white layer is gone.

I had the same setup minus the wire stand (I just held the bulb with my hands.) I made sure to get a mist of vapor and not smoke, but I still didn't get high. I even dusted the 'ol bulb off months after that and tried again, still no go. Therefore, I wouldn't personally recommend a lightbulb vape.
I want to hit a box style vape, but I'm not dropping that much cash on one myself. Also, I wouldn't even be able to use it often, since a lot of the times I'm getting high I'm not near a source of electricity (car, woods, etc.)

Light bulb vapes work quite well but test tube vapes work even better. Also my friend and i made a electric one out of a soldering iron and it worked quite well, takes soo little bud to get you ripped.

Fuck those lightbulbs, especially the one pictured.... The flame of the candle is way too close...
Hmmm.. Vaporizers are an investment. It depends on your smoking habits if you want one or not. I would start off with the VaporBros box and whip first.
There's a forum called FuckCombustion dedicated to vaporizers. Check it out before you buy one so you know what you're doing.
