I'm wondering if it is possible to buy the name after jeff shuts it down. If its possible, I bet we could get enough people to donate money for someone to run the site???

I have already purchased it. The site will be down for a few days until I can instantiate a one forum bbs to keep everyone updated

Thank you. Are you going to try to make it exactly the same eventually?

No I just said that to get your hopes up. However I have contacted the owner/admin through contactprivacy.com I sent a serious offer with my phone number and contact information... although I feel like it is all in vain.
I would pay upwards to $5000 for the domain name in full

Usually when domain names expire, the registrar will hold onto it for a while. However, with absolutely no 5 letter domains available for purchase anymore, I'd be willing to bet it'll get sold to the highest bidder.

Agreed. Totse spin offs are being purchased for 2k+; it will be interesting to see what the actual domain goes for.

the site heralded so much information and ideas. if every users makes an effort to sell on the information that they have learnt, we surely could get enough funding to keep the site going

We'll see, I'm still hoping this is some sort of prank though!

Well my offer is no joke and I will definitely be bidding on the name. However my/our efforts are going to be rendered futile when some faceless corporation dishes out ten's of thousands and essential destroys everything totse once stood for.
It would be nice of Jeff to sell the domain to the highest bidding totse user

Yes, maybe a mod can talk to Jeff, and maybe he will sell it to a fellow totsean, so it stays alive.

Totse was more than a bunch threads. It was an idea.

I was on my way home from the dentist and my bitch ass mum was argueing with my sister. As per usual.
Fucking boring.
Anyway she was paying more attention to my sister than the road, and we were only going about 35mph in our car and we went past Somerfield and there was a big ass bunch of homeless guys standing outside.
They were all standing in a circle and seemed to be discussing something REALLY important. Now what got me was what the HELL could be that important to homeless guys??
So anyway we carried on, and my mom got scared and said you're living with your auntie and uncle in bel-air...
Sorry
