I saw someone in another board wanting a forum called "the jail" or whatever would fit best. Where people that have been banned or something can still post. I think it could have real potential, hell maybe even the mods could just send people to jail for a day or two instead of giving them a 2 month ban. Just imagine it, the content would be about the same as IGIAIM, but more comical. And you can even have the banned member post there till their time is up.:thumbsup:

general idea is that you are in there until you start posting quality shit
there is one guy in there that has been in there for almost a year

everytime he gets close he fucks up and starts back at square one

you guys can already ban users from certain forums
how about banning them into jail/prison/ spectrals house of horrors

only problem i see is that this would require a considerable ammount of time and effort on the mod's and admins

If I ran this business, Mr.NumberswithanL, would be only able to post in a newly created forum called "theJail" and the posts would need to be approved by a special jail guard before being posted and the posts would auto delete after a day or two. Also, only certain limited number of preselected visitors would be allowed into "the jail" for visitation.

Anyway. Shrike, the jail is a great idea to keep the pigs in their pins when they are brought back onto the farm. The farmers don't want pig shit all over the entire farm, including the precious farmhouse.

And poor souls like syphilis would not have to worry about increasing their idiocy because only a select few would be allowed to visit the prisoners. It's not a open soap box for the guilty prisoners to post and have everyone see it.

also if their little minions quoted and posted any unacceptable posts outside the jail they themselves may be subject to imprisonment in the jail... or just have their jail privileges revoked. Jail guards need not be moderators either.

You could say the same for this internet and the entire computer trend. Humans worked and lived much better before it's existence. It will be the fall of humankind. Now, that being said, TheJail, won't have anything to do with the failure of humankind. It will just be a useful tool for additional oppression of aggressors trying to rerepress. I'm glad that this is getting some attention. You could ban someone from every forum except the jail, but everyone can post in it, but only the people banned to the jail can make threads. You could send someone there for breaking rules that don't really deserve a ban, but at least some kind of action against them.
