Ok, I just got finished watching the movie after I had just read the book and am extremely disappointed.

None of the characters except maybe Victor and Beth looked/acted how they were supposed to. Why would I have ever gotten my hopes up for a film based on a book...

The only redeeming part of the movie was probably the soundtrack.

I agree...it seems they tried to make a movie thats quirky and weird without preserving any of the heart and genuine cleverness that made the book great.

Yeah the book was much better. I struggled to watch the film all the way through, quiet boring.
