I fucking love these guys. I'm the kind of guy who normally picks out songs from a band, instead of saying I like there entire album or all there songs, but I love every song by them. Its a ashame there gone now, but no one will be able to capture what they brought to us as a band. Anyone else share my enthusiasm? Also I found this remix its by SOAD and Wu Tang Clan. Usually I despise rap and rock together, but damn. Serj can spit some shit.

This man wins the internets! But in other news have you tried listening to Serj's stuff oh and Scars on Broadway? I must admit not the same but still not bad almost nostalgic.

Why thankyou kind sir.
:)
Its good but not as good as original SOAD.
I think Serj is trying too hard, he should relax, get some ideas and come back in a couple of years rocking the world as he comes.

System of a Down is awesome... if you're 13. Way to ruin a good song.

I love SOAD, surprisingly I liked Serj's side project alot better than Darron's though, I was actually kind of dissapointed with Scars on Broadway, maybe I need to listen to it more.

I am grateful for System of a Down as a segway into more heavy, extreme music; however they've been dropped from my playlist forever.

They're good, but I never saw them as a "favorite band." I think many people went through a SOAD phase, eventually moved on, but didn't really forget.
Know what I mean?

Serj is such a unique vocalist, I can't even explain it. His solo shit was really, really good. Empty Walls gave me chills for weeks. And Beetoven's Cunt always gets me pumped.

I understand ask i believe many people i know went throught this.
But also saying that most of them went onto be bassline fans instead of metal.
However out of my group of friends i would say my musical tastes are the "heaviest" and i still listen to SOAD.
I think they are a band that will never lose their meaning.

I do enjoy SOAD, i went to see Serj play when he was in sydney. It was amazing though SOAD is still better. Shame they're on hiatus :(

I like SOAD's first album, probably not enough to buy it, but if it got deleted from my computer I would definately download it again. Really I only didn't like 1 song off the album, otherwise I thought it was good.
Toxicity I didn't really get what was so good about it, Prison Song, Deer Dance and Aerials were good songs, but the stuff like Jet Pilot, that pogo stick song and another one I can't recall the name of I absolutey fucking hated, I hated more of the album than I liked.
I liked that first song off Steal This Album as a novelty, but I didn't like the last 2 that they put out.
And I haven't liked any of the solo projects either. I just really consider SOAD a one album band.

Well, their music can be lively and calm at the same time. It gives off some interesting vibes, like to listen to it from time to time. Not the best band but one of the better ones I'd say. And Serj's side project was pretty good.

SOAD is the shit, but Serj's solo stuff just felt like lightweight SOAD, and Scars on Broadway was terrible.

I still like SOAD. And someone above said that it's a phase most us went through and I agree. Same thing with Linkin Park, IMO.
