Okay, there's been a lot of requests for a news forum, and I've finally decided to stop being lazy about it. A few quick things:

In this thread, please post any ideas for a new Forum name and description. I know that the ones I came up with are pretty lame. I'll make a poll after there's been a few good'uns.

Also, for now, there is not an official moderator. That will change soon, but until then, the supermods and admins will keep things in check.

Last, I stuck this forum under General just for the time being. It may be moved in the future if we find/decide on a better place for it. If you think that it has disappeared, please just look around for it before freaking out.

The news in this forum may not necessarily come from the web. Most of it does though. I think it's fine as it's own forum and not a subforum. That way it's not as easily forgotten.

On a further note, I think "This Just In!" is a pretty good name considering it pays homage to &totse. I can't think of a better name on my own.

I agree with this. HPTTYPWYCOT already has two sub-forums, and not all news in this forum will come from the internet. Although I do hope that we don't end up with a lot of "news flashes" with no sources. I would like to read about whatever news has been brought up.

Also, I'll be posting a poll in the next 24 hours, so any other ideas for a name should be posted soon.

I agree this is better as a stand-alone forum, but it should be listed under 'Society'. I think 'Human Life' needs to be renamed something like 'Body and Mind'. It implies the same thing(s) as 'Society' in a sense.

I like your 'Live, on Earth!' forum name, but wouldn't 'Live, from Planet Earth!' sound better? ;)
