What? She's got a cat called Marmalade?
That's hilarious, when I was a kid we had a cat called Sticky Cat, because it took a nose dive into a bucket of wall paper glue as a kitten.:D
By the way, when will they open up their eyes?

I think you can count on it.
Kathy has a good camera and she uses it a lot, and skillfully.

I don't think so.
C'mon up, though, and you can have your pick of the litter. Not today though--it's snowing and the roads are slick as goose shit on a doorknob.

That's odd. A ginger? lol. Isn't there a joke about ginger people (especially in the UK)
also I didn't know you had a zanga

That sucks. My cat had 5 litters, in the first 4 not one of them died, but on the last one despite our best efforts 4 of the 5 ended up dieing for some reason.

Be glad the mother didn't die. It happened to one of my animals.
Died trying to give birth.:(

^Sad. I can be pretty cold-blooded, but I have cried over dead cats or kittens.
On the other hand, it's not like they are an endangered species--cats will be around long after humans have wiped themselves out.

I helped my dog give birth once, thats how I got Killer :D
Although, during the process we lost a puppy.
It seemed to have not formed correctly because it was alot smaller than the other two.

Two more kittens have died, but another momcat has given birth to something like four--but it took her three days, and we were afraid we might lose her.
Meanwhile, all three of my females are preggars.

^^You don't waste any time up there in Alaska, do you...:D
Sorry to hear about the kittens though, but as you said, cats'll be around long after we've wiped ourselves off the face of the planet, and apparently there's already another catload or three on the way...
By the way Greyfox, if that's a moderately recent pic of you, how old was the previous one?
You're seriously screwing with my perception of what you look like.:D

Maybe it wouldn't be an awful idea to get all but one of your cats fixed?
I sympathize with the love of baby animals, if I had it my way, I'd always have a baby something around.
But it might be healthier for the adults to just be spayed.

Several reasons not to--for one thing, after the operation the cat is supposed to be put in a room by itself. I live in a ONE-ROOM cabin.
For another, I can't afford health care for myself, much less my cats.
For still another, here in Alaska, cats are part of the food chain--there is scant risk of a population explosion, like there would be in more "civilized" areas.

Ah, well I come from the suburbs where cats are so plentiful they are starving and Im spending my money to save them.
I apologize for my ignorance of your situation.
A one room cabin sounds somewhat relaxing though.

^It's great in that almost everything is literally within arms reach.
And it has a cathedral-style ceiling, which gives it a sense of spaciousness.

Okay--the sunglasses pic now showing is about two years old, and is a good likeness, except that I keep my beard shorter now. I got tired of looking like Gabby Hayes.
The real dramatic back-lit one was taken by my wife on our honeymoon in 1990 or 91.

^^Okie-dokie, I can see the resemblance to G. Hayes, but he had shorter hair I think.
