FUCK these people. what the FUCK is their problem? it should never take longer than 24 hours to respond to someone's email, unless it's the weekend, in which case it should be first thing monday morning. people who work in offices with computers and shit check their email every day, yes? then why must i wait fucking WEEKS for a response.
and then these faggots always ignore the last half of what i wrote. if i ask two things in an email, one in the first paragraph and then one in the second, i only get a response to the first. how the fuck is that logical? FUCK THEM.
why is it i've been waiting at least three weeks for a response from some douche bag about an internship? if there's no internships available, tell me. don't just not respond you fucking douche bag.
my own sister doesn't respond to my emails in a timely fashion either. takes weeks again.
been almost a week since i asked my academic advisor a simple fucking question. what the fuck is he doing about it?
another admissions person at some college is taking her good ol fucking time answering my questions. it should be within 24 fucking hours. FUCK HER
for those who check and respond to email once or twice a day, i applaud you.

Agreed. People that are hard to get a hold of really annoy me.

I think 24 houres is somewhat unfair. If they don't respond in three days though... What REALLY pisses me off is when I send one and get a responce 3 fucking months latter. I find it insulting enough to totally cut of contact with the inconsiderate twat!

I check mine 3-5 times a day. People who take over 1 day to respond (excluding illness/other bad things) are doing it wrong.

i check my emails a few times a week.
i do spend alot of my time on the internet but i try to spend it serving myself rather than others, unless its imperative things such as uni gruop assighnments i wont check it more than a few time a week.

I completely disconnect for at least a week every couple of months (this being my first day back).
E-mail, phone calls, television, text messages... it's all misdirection. Look over here while I pick your pocket... look at your television while the government tramples on your rights. The more dependent we become on these devices, the less prepared we are when they become useless. The less prepared we are, the more we'll look to the government for help.

Bulleted lists with retard-speak. Seriously.
If I can't get someone to read my email, I press enter after each sentence and add bullets. They seem to be more likely to read bullets than paragraphs. People who work on offices are *generally* total douches.

Email? Who the fuck uses email with SMS/Instant Messaging lol?
Colleges/professors/businesses/people in the real world are not reachable by instant messaging. So no. Could use the telephone, but that has it's own list of drawbacks and annoyances.
I once had a professor that never answered any of her email. It was completely incomprehensible. I think she misunderstood the fucking point of email or something, because she'd tell us in class to email her if we had questions, but then later when I'd be like "uh, did you get my email? I had a question" she's just like "oh yeah I got it...*stare*" THE FUCK THEN?
24 hours isn't unfair. What do I do in the morning before I leave for class? Check my email. What do I do at night? Check my email. What should be the first and last thing someone going into or leaving work does? Check their fucking email.
And then there's the assholes who won't respond to you because they don't "know you." Yeah, asshole, because we've never met and I'm reaching out to you for a specific reason that I've stated in my subject line. But they're all like "oh noes an email address I don't know, it might try to trick me into some niggeria scam, delete delete delete!!111"

OP, I am one of those villains you complain about.
Since I use library comps, I can't check email every day. When I do have access to a comp, I usually don't have time to check email, since the library only allows users one hour per day.
I usually check my email every few weeks, and hardly ever get anything worth reading. Yesterday, i deleted around seventy, didn't read any.

Maybe not 24 hours, but 2 or 3 days... yeah, if I'm not getting a response, go fuck yourself. Even when I'm busy as shit writing 18 papers at once, I at least manage to check my email once a day. And professors, holy shit. It should be a requirement that they respond to emails promptly. I had one guy who would read his emails and then respond a week later, when it was already irrelevant. Another one who would answer emails in class instead of responding. I emailed her 4 times in one semester and never got one email back. What the fuck? There are profs though that get back to me within a few hours, which is awesome and exactly how it should be. What the fuck else are they doing, anyway?
I like the bullet points idea. I'm doing that from now on.

Yeah I always found it irritating when you send an email and get no response back at all, but your friend sends one and he/she gets a response in a day.
Then you send another and still no response.
I got to blast them with a review though
Chose the wrong guy to fuck with.
i read an article about this very complaint. i'll find it and come back here, but it basically said to make the email as short as possible, because people who get over 100 emails a day don't have time to read them all. they will most likely just get skimmed, or ignored completely.
my advice: keep it short and sweet.
