Looking for a cheap laptop that can run some basic games (on board graphics).

Price range 500-800 nzd (250-450 usd i guess but computers are pretty expensive here).

Any good experiences?

Im particularly interested in cheap laptops that come with a good graphics card or good integrated graphics (although that's kind of an oxymoron)

check out the samsung nc10 its a netbook yes, and not imensly powerfull (1.6Ghz atom), however it has a dedicated 9300Gs so you can blast away on COD4 all day long

your not going to get anything else with a decent graphics sollution other than 2nd hand for that price range

I can only really suggest Dell, as they have the cheapest high-end laptops I could find in Aus, and you can customize it. For those of us not in the states, it's one of the cheaper sources for computers. Similar stuff in stores here was 25%-50% more costly.

If you can find a used thinkpad with your specs, go for it, you wont regret it. AFAIK, there arent any dells being used on the space station.

The dell mini 12 is currently the best netbook in my opinion. Mainly by having a 1280x800 resolution. If they keep that resolution and at least the 48 Whr battery when the mini 10 comes out, and upgrade it to smaller more power efficient atoms in the second half of this year, it will be unstoppable.

If it works out that way, I will buy one and put an intel X25 flash drive in it.
