When you put someone on ignore you still may see their post when someone quotes it and they may know you've got them on ignore and ask someone to quote them so you read their post. I think it would be nice if there were an option with the ignore feature to ignore any post that contained whatever the person you're ignoring said. Filtering out anything they said even if it were quoted by someone else. So you'd be ignoring the people quoting them, but just the quote.

Also, when you ignore someone it says "This user is on your ignore list" and doesn't show their post, but it would be nice if it wouldn't even show you that they posted in the thread. Hopefully some people will agree with me on this.

It'd be nice, but the sheer strain it'd put on the server/system would be immense. Zoklet would just crash and burn.

The person who quotes them could just change the username or post number in the quote.

Why don't you just not read the post? Do you lack that much self control?

I wish I could thank that multiple times.

OH NO! SOMEONE I DON'T LIKE POSTED. I'D BETTER NOT SEE WHAT THEY'VE WRITTEN OR I'M GOING TO SMASH UP THE COMPUTER and then mom will make me mow lawns for six months to pay for a new one :(

Or maybe it should ignore so well that the person who uses it wont be able to access, there for completly eliminateing any possiblity of seeing the post.

I dont know if anyone is annoying enough for me to ignore them, must of the time the most annoying or irritating are sorta funny, unless there just directly insulting you all the time.

There's a whole lot of garbage in this thread, guise. Please stay on topic, as these threads should be productive. If you have nothing to add to the discussion, please do not post at all. Thanks.

I don't think it would strain the server unless you used really shitty code. You could have it where the browser does most of the work with some type of script.

Before a page is loaded, a variable is loaded with the text of whatever the ignored person says on the page, and that post is not loaded. Filtering out some posts is not going to strain the server anymore than all the other features. It's a lot simpler than many of the current features.

I'll probably never want to ignore anyone but if I was going to this is how I'd want to do it. I've used websites where the ignore feature was like this and it's nice.

If you're a programmer then feel free to explain why you think it would strain the server.
