Pretty brutal. The man has some sick submissions. I still think Penn would take him on the feet. Still, he's probably the #1 lightweight in the world right now.

It was an impressive submission, but that's fucking stupid, Aoki is 2 or 3 at best. BJ Penn would take him standing or on the ground.

Oh yeah

Man that was fucking gross. I like the sport and all but when that kind of injury is given I think there should be some sort of penalty levied against the injurer.

He refused to tap. What's Aoki supposed to do? Let go of the hold or apply more pressure?

Why should the winner be punished? It's not his fault he wouldn't tap, that's the nature of submission fighting.

Because breaking the other guys arm will cost the victim months of training and fights and money. Some of these guys have kids to feed.

It's simple, the guy should have tapped earlier.

I laugh at some of these fighters who are all, "I'm so tough and badass, I'll never tap. You'll have to rip my arm off before I tap, that's how hardcore I am."

Yeah, good luck being tough when you end your career with a snapped elbow. That said, I don't think any MMA fighters should try to break people's limbs, that's not what the sport is about. You should just steadily apply more and more pressure until your opponent taps. If he doesn't, that's his lookout.

Then he should have tapped; you can't feed your family with pride.

Pretty much this.

That dash he did at the beginning was sick, he's fast as doom.
