How is it possible that a smaller screen is easier to see than a larger one?

Icons and words and such appear larger on a smaller resolution.

higher pixel density = smaller text.

I've got a desktop. When I first got this monitor I thought it was embarrassingly large.

I posted this in the other thread: The site is set to a width of 85em. em values are based off of the font size, not pixels. This way your text will always fit inside of the box that surrounds it because the box grows to the size of the text (since ems are relative and px are absolute). So it is ACTUALLY your browser's fault. You can change the browser's font size by CTRL + scroll-wheel.

If enough people are having problems I can narrow it or enforce a standard font size, but I tested this in several browsers with the default font sizes and it fits...

Also, a year ago less than a third of the internet used your resolution: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp and its steadily decreasing... It's like providing support for IE6.
