Okay, so books are expensive. It's getting late and some sites take forever to ship.

Do you guys know the best spots to get books for classes?
Also can you download some on torrents?

yes you can get some with bittorrent but they are mainly technical books.
Some books come with CDs that contain a pdf version and extra crap , check your library and copy the CD

tpb and isohunt are your #1 source.

A lot of the time recommended books aren't 100% necessary depending on the subject. A simular book will do fine, I never got any of the recommened text books for my math subjects.

Older editions are very often the same as (and sometimes better then) the newer editions. These go for cheaper because people are turned off by them.

Amazon is just about your only hope. Can either go to a used college book store and still pay a lot, or buy of off amazon for cheap and wait.

This reminds me that I need to buy books.
