Do hunter pets work on that server? 98% of the private servers I've found for wow have broken hunter pets. Either growl doesn't work or you are simply unable to get a pet at all because the tame pet skill isn't given to you.

I used to run a wow server two years ago. Getting pets and minions to work was a bitch. It seems it still hasn't improved much.
