I'm still going to be hanging out in #ns&h on slashnet, which is a channel for this forum. However, I've asked to be removed as moderator here, and to have my account permabanned. My reasons are my own, but I felt that Zoklet's internal politics were too much of a hostile environment for me to continue my tenure. I'll miss the forum, but it's time for me to go. I know this will hurt me much more then anyone else. oddballz194 has been one of my trusted friends on Totse/zoklet. I mean this guy is a genius, he is honest and very friendly. From day one oddballz194 has been fair in his judgment when it comes to modding and he is truly the most talented in the field on networks and computers.


It has been a great honor knowing oddballz194 as a friend and as a human being. May Allah bless him in his future endeavors.

As it is, my observations from outside the inner circle suggest it's improved quite a lot internally, and I do know that a couple mods (and I think Zok also) want me to return. At this point, if it happens it happens, and if not I'm OK with it.

I really hadn't intended to create this account when I posted this thread, but NS&H is kinda hard to step away from. I wound up being linked to threads by O_RLY/Expl0itz and others in the IRC and kept wanting to reply, so I registered again.

If I do step back as a moderator I'll probably have my old account unbanned and use it. No promises though.

Damn.. I would love to see you back on the staff. I know things were getting pretty chaotic and unhealthy back then, but as you say, things have mellowed out quite a bit. To see you back in the saddle again would really make my year... hopefully I'll get to see Metaphysicist back some day soon as well. :(

At the time, kinkou was the leader of the HB-Brigade, a rag-tag team of lunatics and shit-dropping 12 year olds. She also carried a fair bit of smite in her makeup-kit. Just like in Godzilla vs Megagurious, Metaphysicist took on and battled the feared alien Commander from space, meeting kinkou head on in the city of Slashnet, right in the heart of downtown IRC. Kinkou released a searing, white-hot lazer beam from her fire-red eyes, striking Metaphysicist several mortal blows, which burned two neat round holes right through his Superman outfit, singing his white, elastic-band underwear in the process. After super-heating his spine into a glowing red bridge of utter fury, trumpeting a tremendous screech which shattered skyscraper windows for 10 blocks in every direction, Metaphysicist returned with a volley of mouth-delivered fireballs, fired in rapid succession, punting kinkou (Megagourious) out of IRC several times, unwittingly bringing the wrath of the Elder-Gods upon him.

A large hand then descended from the heavens, scooped up our old friend, and took him away to a better place. The damage having been fully done... he now remains in our memories as an exemplary visionary and a scholar. If hindsight was foresight, we'd still have Godzolla right here among us this very day. Well, I decided to return to the staff. I couldn't be added to NS&H's mod list because the two mods we already have are plenty good at keeping the forum moving and clean, so I went to the radio forum instead. (I haven't been active in Zoklet's radio forum 'till now, but I used to be about as active as the mods of RFA back on Totse and I plan on trying to get some activity happening there.)
