Ever since I left a hairdresser with a bad mullet when I was 14, I have not let anyone else cut my hair. I don't want another mullet :mad::mad::mad:.

I cut my own hair for about 4 years, wasn't super. Only when I said I cut my own hair would people look closely and say "ohhh yea I see". I made it my own style but now with my job I have to bow to society and look normal. My haircut costs $50 from a stylist. I wish I was young again not giving a fuck.

My hair was hanging around my shoulders when I cut it, so it had to be 7 or 8 inches long. I'd planned on shaving it but couldn't get ahold of any hair clippers. So, I did what any sensible man would; I grabbed some sewing scissors and went to town:mad: It's maybe 3 and a half on top of my head and 1 to 2 inches on the sides. The back is ridiculously even for the way I cut it(no mullet) I completed said haircut in about 7 cuts:D

I tried to cut my hair short, with the style that I wanted but I fucked up so badly that I had to get most of it shaved off. I haven't gotten a haircut since. It's been about 2 years and my hair is looking beautiful, flowing down past my nipples now :p

yeah i've done it several times and that's how i've cut my hair the last few times as well. the only problem i have is with trimming the back of my neck. it's basically impossible to hold clippers and mirror and be able to see and be coordinated to do it. i always have to get my dad to do the back of my neck after i'm done with everything else.

easiest thing to do is put the 1/2 inch guard on the clippers and run it thoroughly over my entire head. then use scissors to get shit around my ears that the clippers miss.

but the back of the neck pisses me off! :mad:

Unless you've got a good eye and hand for using scissors, have training, are using easy-to-operate clippers, or don't really give a fuck about how your hair looks, I otherwise wouldn't advise you to cut your own hair. I just had mine cut today by my usual hairdresser and it looks fantastic :thumbsup:

Also, never EVER use commonplace scissors. They will only damage your hair, so use those special hair cutting scissors (dunno their proper name).

I just cut my hair, people seemed to tell that i did it myself, but it's completely clean, they're just used to me cutting it myself, but shaved.

This time i left a long part on top, like a jarhead cut, and shaved all the rest.

just shave/buzz your hair, looks very professional. cheap and very easy to do if you get your own buzzer.

I set my buzzer to number one and give myself a 10$ haircut every month-and-a-half. I would never touch my own hair with scissors.
