There's nothing here. No jobs, nothing to do, no happiness. Just water and rednecks with no jobs. Almost every single one of my friends I had growing up either went off to the military, or were lucky enough to get accepted to colleges so they moved into cities.
Neither of my parents even work in this town, they both commute over an hour each day to get to work. I can't even express how much it sucks living here. If my car breaks, or I can't afford gas then I can't go anywhere. There's no other way of getting around, and biking isn't an option because it'd take a solid day just to get into town.
I can't even put my frustration into words. I feel so goddamn hopeless it's not even funny.

Beergoggles, I kind of know how you feel.
I live in a toilet seat town in central pa, it's nothing that's really "out of the way," but the general lack of intelligence in this are is near mind numbing; and the sheer outspokenness of the ignorant is enough to boil your blood.
And it's everyone. There's the few people you meet here and there that have an IQ of 60 among them, but fucking hell, this place sucks balls.
The only jobs around here are either serve people in a grocery, or in a restaurant...
Lancaster and Harrisburg are both slowly turning into slums, and all the youth are either pseudo-punk emo faggots, nigger-hating southerner wannabe's or nigger-loving hiphop wannabe's.
FUCK. I mean, just ask largetits4u, she lives near me, and I'm sure she would agree.

I don't even mind the people as much as the fact that there's nothing here. We have a couple gas stations and a church or two. The downtown district is a ghost town for the most part, and even that only has one stoplight. Most of the town is just lakes, swamps, and woods. It's an agricultural area, and the entire town used to be orange groves at one point.

You should try and find a job in another town first before you leave though.
Look on craigslist for job ads or summthin.

That shit is tough.
We have a movie theater and a bowling ally, but if you want to do anything other than sit, or sit and throw balls, than you're out of luck.
We have a lot of farm land but we mostly just produce tobacco and some kind of beans. Hell, most of the farmers have just sold their land for contractors to build more houses on.
But to think I'm complaining. I can't imagine living in a ghost town.
You should buy a Kalashnikov and 1500 rounds, take over your town and name it south-central-beergoggles.
I'll come party with you.

There's nothing to take over in this town. I could go claim some of the woods, and no one would probably ever notice.

Not my style. I'd rather live in a big city where I didnt have to spend all my money on gas or at restaurants because I can't go home to eat if I'm in town for a while.
I'm sick of trees. I don't ever want to see another goddamn tree ever again.

Hahaha, good luck building anything here. I swear there's more half-built things here then I've ever seen anywhere else. People attempted to start projects here, and all of them failed.
There's been buildings under construction here for years now. I also have to pass a few condemned houses to get home. They're just sitting there rotting, probably soon to be bought up by another stupid fuck hoping to build a golf course that's inevitably going to fail.

^Reminds me of Ukraine. There were these rolling hills with small, private crops and on one side there was this skeleton of a flat. People just took the bricks whenever they needed some from there.
Ever seen First Blood?
I'm not saying you should murder half a town, but you are likely to die soon otherwise.

I think the only reason we exist is because a major thoroughfare to get to Daytona goes through here. I guess some rednecks broke down along the way and started up a church.

I've lived in big cities and small towns, and have realised small towns - especially those that have fuck all people in them, will cause you to go completely batshit due to boredom.
If you can't afford to leave, I'd at least get as much cash together as you can, and go away for a bit to somewhere that's not quite as isolated.
I used to live here (http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?hl=en-GB&q=tollerton%20notts&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enNZ238NZ238&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=il&tbo=0).
Not anywhere the same scale of isolation, but it did my head in, only way of getting to the city was a car (which I didn't have) or to rely on the dilapidated public transport system.
Moving to the city was the best decision I ever made (prior to leaving the country that is), it's much more metropolitan and has a shit load of pubs.
- Best of luck to you man.

I think it's funny when you hear reports of Northerner's having their pets eaten because they're stupid enough to let them run around near the ponds.
I thought everyone knew you don't go near the water in Florida. If you don't get a gator going after you, you'll probably end up with leeches. :D
Shit, New Smyrna beach, which is the closest beach to me, has the most shark bites per year in the entire world, with almost 50% of reported shark bites happening there, and almost 90% of the ones in Florida.

Huh. You've got wheels though, so theoretically you could go somewhere and live out of your car while you worked and saved for a place. No? If you moved to someplace got a job/place near good public transport: you could sell your wheels or just leave them mostly parked.
Or have you already thought of that and rejected the idea?
