If you steal lotto tickets and win big they might have the numbers of the ones stolen, and you will be screwed. If you wanted to rob a gas station I would take the time to do it right. Be ruthless, you will get a lot more. First, kill the guy when he is closing up, plus anybody else who might be in there. You don't need any witnesses. Second, take his keys and go take all the tapes, because that is the only hard evidence there is. Get money, anything else you want, load up your car (preferably a big on) and drive off undetected. Stash the goods.

Better Idea is just bust into one thats not open 24 hours. There probably won't be money in the register but think how much money you would get selling all those cartons of ciggarettes...And it's alot easier to take the heat for breaking and entering than robbery.

As said, B&E over aggravated robbery anyday. Going after cigarettes would be a lot more profitable than the little cash kept in the till. You'll need something to quickly break the locks on the cigarette displays so take a hammer or something which should do it.

Perform surveillance so you can hit when the cigs have been restocked.
Try and work out where the cameras are pointing as well, but if you were a balaclava you should be fine.
